Summary: I have had two discussions with CNBC Worldwide Exchange anchor Brian Sullivan in recent days. One early this Monday (5AM!) about the state of the on-again, off-again trade deal and the likelihood of Brexit being reversed. The other on March 4 to talk about the likely structure of the final trade dea. The topic from this Monday was the likely impact of the filing of the Mueller reports on the trade talks. My view is the it will make Steve Mnuchin and Bob Lighthizer’s job a little easier later this week by removing a big distraction. The other big event this week. of course, is the showdown over Brexit set to take place on Wednesday. I remain optimistic that the result will be a second referendum so people get to choose what to do armed with a lot more information than they had last time around. As I wrote in a recent post, I am much more positive on UK investments than many others; this could turn out to be a terrific buying opportunity of British assets.
