After spending the last week in China, I can tell you that the Chinese government understands the only way to deliver high growth and increase living standards without further fouling the air and running out of energy is to focus on IT, communications, and the financial service sector. The Chinese are putting a full court press on innovation and entrepreneurship by aggressively investing in tech education and pursuing policies to attract foreign capital to relocate to China–especially such as R&D operations.
What are we doing?

John,
Enjoyed your Buddha sculpture and your stints on Kudlow & Co. I happened to have started a long/Short hedge fund, but want you to know you should read this lifetime Meher Baba’s The Discources, if not his God Speaks. Hundreds of thousands of Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, Jews and Hindu’s believe he is the last time the Buddha/Christ walked amongst us again as man. His life is unparalleled in the recorded history of man. His biography, Lord Meher, is 22 volumes. Mother Theresa called him the Christ-like figure of our age, but she knew only a fraction of his work on earth. When Gandhi, 25 or 30 years older than Baba, met him on the Ship going over to Britain when he was about to bring the Empire to its knees in the early 1930’s, he said of the young Meher Baba, “I am not worthy of the dust under his nails.” 98% to 99% of humanity did not know of the Buddha, Mohammed or the Christ, so this is your gift from Baba through myself, an admirer of your work for Reagan, and even more so the spiritual seeker your blog evinces.
John,
I agree with you 100%.
Your site is super.
I’m looking to reenter the business world and would like your feedback.
How can I email/talk with you?
Thanks.
