Huawei on the Highway

Yesterday, while driving from Dubai to Abu Dhabi on the way to speak at the SALT conference we drove asses a 200 foot long piece of evidence that US efforts to kill Huawei have not succeeded in doing. The above 5 second video shows you about half of it.

It is clear from my recent travels that, as a result of our clumsy handling of the trade war, the rest of the world (Not the US, not China) has decided that it no longer has the option of simply choosing a partner. They know that there are now two sheriffs in town and they are going to have to do business with both. Huawei is not going away.

Same Moon

Drove to the airport at 4AM today so I could be home in time to pick up my daughter from school. Looking out the window I was reminded that it’s the same moon here in Abu Dhabi as the one back at home.

Abu Dhabi Moon 4AM

Same people too. My taxi driver, Felix, is from Uganda. He drives the early hours so he can be home early enough to pick up his daughter at school too. We both agree that being a father is the best job in the world.
